BCSO spokeswoman Captain Andi Taylor said a woman had called dispatch around 5 a.m.Wednesday to report her house near Ernie Pyle Middle School was being shot at and that she believed her ex-boyfriend may be responsible.
Deputies spotted the vehicle and a pursuit started. After running west on Bridge, the pursuit ended in the area of 114th Street and DeVargas Road, Taylor said.
The subject, later identified as Ricardo Carrillo, 19, then ran into a random house, forcing a mom and two kids to run out. Taylor said Carrillo left to another house on Osprey near Egret SW where he entered through an open window.
“The female occupant said he demanded her car keys and she was able to trick him into the garage and locked him in there,” Taylor said.
Taylor said a SWAT team deployed tear gas into the garage.
Carrillo faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, shooting at a dwelling, aggravated fleeing from law enforcement and aggravated burglary.
